“Basically training camp has been pretty good. I’m just coming out here and trying to get better. I’m trying to instill some trust from the team and the players for me. Also, I just come out here in front of the fans and try to give them a little show because not everybody can go to the games. We try to interact with as many people as we can here. We just show them how we do things here and show them that we appreciate them.
“I’m just learning how to play fast and play smart especially in practice to keep people safe. You have to play at a fast and intense level, but, at the same time, keep everybody healthy.
“I’m excited for [the upcoming season] and I’m ready for it to come, but I focus on this first game. I just take it day by day because you never know when it’s your last. So, I just try to focus on the day.”
